EFL is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to join Workpackage 5 — Linguistic diversity as a testing ground for theories of language — for a 12-month contract, renewable once, with a start date between September 1st and December 1st 2026.
The role
The postdoc will conduct collaborative and/or independent research within one of the 10 research projects of the Workpackage, in the field of linguistics or psycholinguistics, leading to scientific publications. They will work under the supervision of a permanent member of EFL and participate in collective activities and outreach.
Profile
The position is open to researchers holding a PhD in linguistics or a related field by July 15, 2026, with expertise in at least one of the following areas: theoretical linguistics, experimental linguistics, corpus linguistics, computational linguistics, psycholinguistics, cognitive science, field linguistics, linguistic typology, or history and epistemology of linguistics. Good command of English in an academic setting is required. Knowledge of French is not required.
