The EFL project participated in the Science Festival organized by Paris Cité University on the Grands Moulins campus. Seven workshops introducing linguistics were offered to the general public (adults and schoolchildren) in the Science Village on October 10 and 11, 2025. The program included a board game and quiz on Sino-Tibetan languages, a demonstration of the role-playing game “Dialect,” the construction of a multilingual tree, a workshop entitled “French is doing very well, thank you,” and a discussion on emojis: what are they and what do they mean? a board game called “Le cercle des linguistes” (The Linguists’ Circle), and a cognitive science experiment on geometric intuition.
